Our Yuzet® Ground Cover Membranes consist of tightly woven polypropylene threads and are UV resistant which guarantees a long product lifespan. The membranes are permeable for water and air, but reliably block weed growth without the need for chemicals. They are used in gardens and nurseries or for general landscaping. Ground cover membranes can also be used underneath paths and driveways as a means of stabilizing the ground while preventing weed growth at the same time.
Our ground cover membranes can be used by themselves or you can cover them with mulch, gravel or stones. They are usually black with green planting lines, but we also produce white ones which are especially suitable for the use on fruit plantations. The material reflects sunlight which ensures that fruit ripens evenly on all sides. These membranes are widely used in Australia and the Middle East.
Our ground cover is very easy to use; simply spread the fabric over the area you want to cover and secure it with pegs. The membrane stops light getting through so nothing can grow underneath. It’s not necessary to remove weeds or use chemicals to get rid of vegetation, though we recommend strimming down vegetation to ground level and removing any sharp stalks that could damage the fabric. Our ground cover membranes furthermore have planting lines which makes them especially suitable for use in gardens and allotments as they facilitate planting in straight lines.
We produce ground cover on an industrial scale and each year more than 200 containers leave our production facilities to destinations all over the world. Our membranes are available in DIY stores and online and come in various different sizes, but we are happy to produce custom sizes upon request as well.
